Four steps from application to door code
HomeSplit is membership, not a lease. You apply once, get approved once, and every room in the portfolio is yours to book — this week or next year.
Apply
One application, $19. We verify your identity with a government ID and selfie, verify income with a soft pull (no credit score minimum, no FICO impact), and run a background check. Most members finish in under ten minutes.
Get approved
Most decisions come back within a day. Approval sets your weekly budget from your verified income and unlocks every room, exact addresses, 3D tours, and homemate details.
Book
Pick a room and a move-in date — as soon as the next day. You pay your first week plus a one-time move-in fee (most rooms $100, splittable over 4 or 8 weeks). Your weekly rate locks at booking.
Move in
Your door code activates at your scheduled arrival time. The room is furnished — bed, mattress, storage. Bring bedding, towels, and toiletries.
Billing
Weekly, predictable, on your schedule
One weekly bill
Your dues cover the room, utilities, WiFi, furnishings, and laundry. No separate bills, ever.
Your Dues Day
Pick the day of the week you pay — payday-friendly. You can change it, with a 30-day cooldown between changes.
If a payment slips
A late payment adds a $25 fee; a failed charge adds $20. If your balance passes $300, you get a 48-hour window to settle before termination starts. Autopay avoids all of it.
Commitment & flexibility
Stay as long as it works for you
Standard — 12 weeks
Stays start with a 12-week commitment, then roll week to week. Leaving early inside the commitment costs 2 weeks of dues.
Premium Flexibility — $175 once
Add it at booking to skip the commitment entirely and stay week to week from day one.
Transfers between homes
Wrong fit? Your first transfer is free, with up to $200 credited toward the new move-in fee. Stay 6 months with a clean balance and Stay Rewards earns you a free week. Refer a friend who moves in and you both benefit — $250 in rent credit.

The application takes about ten minutes, and most approvals land within a day.
